Description: The Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense In America is a nation-wide group that branches off of the Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund. The group was created on December 15th, 2012, the day after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. the group was created by a woman by the name of Shannon Watts. The group spread really fast and gained supporters all throughout the United States in a short amount of time. This group is constantly active on all things related to gun violence and gun policies. Their website http://momsdemandaction.org/ is constantly updated with the latest news, whether it is an article written by someone in their organization or if it is a link to a story that has significance to the gun violence world. Since it is not just one person speaking for the organization, it is kind of hard to tell how they speak or what their mannerisms are. Looking at their campaigns, ads, etc., though, they group seems to have an aggressive vibe to them. Obviously this is a serious matter and they are trying to get their point across but it can also seem like they are trying to scare you into believing a certain way. Their website is very straightforward and you can easily find access to the latest news, their campaigns, and anything else related to the organization.

Claims:
  1. "Moms are grateful for Facebook’s leadership today in announcing that they will end all unlicensed gun sales arranged on their platforms." -Shannon Watts
  2. "We’re gratified that our continuous conversation with Facebook over the course of the last two years has culminated in the company prohibiting all unlicensed gun sales arranged on its platforms" -John Feinblatt
  3. “I am glad Facebook is blocking unlicensed gun sales from their site because for me it’s personal" -Catherine Bodine
Validity: I truly believe that all three of these claims are credible and make the situation more relatable to everyone For example, the first quote by founder, Shannon Watts, tugs on the strings of moms being grateful for this change. This sense of making mom happy has an affect on many people and make them feel like they've done something write. Therefore, many more people might agree with the need for more firearm regulations. The second quote gives the reader a sense of triumph. People love a good ending, and to see that after two years of hard work, it finally paid off really hits home. The final quote can bring out a lot of emotions for readers while sending across a message that change needs to happen fast. Bodine was shot and injured by her ex-boyfriend and her daughter was shot and killed by him. Her ex-boyfriend had purchased a gun from an unlicensed seller on Facebook.

Similarities/Differences: The group of people associated with Moms Demand Action probably have the same ideas as others who support Zuckerberg's decision but aren't necessarily a part of the group. As for the other Stakeholder's that I am analyzing, I would have to say that these claims would be the opposite of those who buy/sell/trade guns through Facebook. They believe that what they are doing is fine and so once this privilege was taken away from them, they got outraged and were not happy about the situation.
