The tense that is most prevalent to my draft is present tense. The present tense allows the reader to be included and feel like they are experiencing the news first hand rather than anticipate what is to come or to feel left out from the past. The shift changes of my draft, for the most part, make sense and change in a logical manner. Usually I won't change tenses in a single section unless I am quoting something. Other than that, it is pretty consistent. My draft is, for the most part, written in present tense.
